WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for Audio Engineers (A2) to join our talent network to be considered for future opportunities onsite in the London area. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis as project needs arise.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5 years experience as an A1, preferably for large or high profile events.
  • Experience in live event corporate settings, working with high level talent.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of broadcast and production technology.
  • Specific technologies include Yamaha CL Series, SSL Consoles, Midas Consoles, Shure Wireless Workbench, Solid State Logic, and L’Acoustics.
  • Ability to program and operate mixing consoles, microphones, and other audio equipment effectively.
  • Good understanding of audio transport standards such as Dante, MADI, and Twinlane.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to rapid show-flow changes in a live and fluid environment.
  • Excellent control room demeanor, proven leadership skills, team-first attitude and the ability to handle pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to interface with both technical and creative members of the event production ecosystem.
  • Excellent communication skills, to both clients and technical staff.
  • Ability to take a service-oriented approach to this position, with a desire to help clients achieve their best result.
  • Responsiveness to queries a must, with updates and follow-through.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director, Producer, Sound Designer, and / or client to understand the sound requirements of each production.
  • Mix appropriate audio signal & levels to in-room PA & stream, and sets up any mix-minus or additional special audio routing needs
  • Work closely with A2s and/or presenters to properly position and track lav microphones.
  • Prepare, organize, and manage handheld microphones as required.
  • Follow the run-of-show document to ensure smooth show flow.
  • Coordinate with other crew members to execute audio elements before and during shows.
  • Conduct rehearsals with performers and the artistic production team, making necessary adjustments to equipment setup and cue sheets.
  • Take direction from the stage manager or show caller to ensure all cues are executed as intended.
  • Perform sound checks before every performance to guarantee optimal audio quality.
  • Test all show playback elements for proper play out.
  • Select and deploy appropriate technical sound equipment that best suits the production’s needs.
