Description:

We are looking for a Network Technician / Administrator to undertake tasks of network development and maintenance. You will be responsible for designing the network in ways that optimize its performance.
The ideal candidate will have the skills and expertise to deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor all active Servers and network equipment, ensuring seamless operations. They should have a good understanding of cloud computing.
The goal is to create and sustain a well-functioning and reliable network to ensure the unobtrusive operation of the business.
Responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving network issues, implementing security measures, and proactively optimizing network performance.
The Network Administrator will play a crucial role in maintaining a robust and dependable network infrastructure for our organization and those of our clients. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Hands on experience in networking and communications used on both local and wide-area networks and TCP/IP protocols
  • Knowledge in software solutions such as Windows 2019/2022 Server, Azure back up, Remote Access and VPNs, Anti-Virus, Ubiquiti, Outlook, Microsoft Office and other application software.
  • Strong diagnostic, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Great at organising, prioritising and multitasking
  • Knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructureDetail oriented and deadline driven.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs) and Servers
  • Maintain networking software, operating system software and software applications
  • Provide problem-solving services to users on the network
  • Monitor network and Server performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses
  • Keep an eye out for needed updates
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
  • Conduct tests and perform security and quality controls
  • Perform shell scripting or other basic scripting tasks
