Description:

AUDIT SENIOR (PENSIONS AUDIT)

We are looking to recruit an Audit Senior to join our fast-growing financial services audit team who undertake statutory audit and related services to entities regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. It is expected that the successful candidate will be based within wholly or primarily within the investment fund audit team as part of the wider financial services audit team. This will include being part of our pensions audit team.
Our pensions audit team work with around 150 clients and counting. We differ to core audit by working mainly remotely for our clients. We work with several large audit clients for both defined benefit and defined engagements. We work most often with other professional entities, including professional administrators and actuaries.

ABOUT YOU:

This opportunity would suit a forward-thinking candidate with an interest in audit and the financial services sector and who is looking to increase their skills and knowledge in a growing firm, always seeking to learn and develop. It would also suit someone who enjoys audit however does not have the desire to travel to client sites as our work is carried out via secure portals remotely.

  • Ability to embrace new technology and be open to change
  • Communication skills and prioritisation of workload are essential
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • Part or fully qualified in a relevant accounting qualification (ICAS, ACCA etc)
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A leader of your work and professional learning

Responsibilities:

  • Performing a range of audit procedures on financial statement balances
  • Documentation of work performed in a clear and concise manner
  • Carrying out quality control checks on financial statements
  • Training and supervising audit assistant team members in the pensions audit team
  • Highlighting any issues noted promptly to more senior members of the team
  • Other ad-hoc projects and support as requested
