The successful candidate will have experience in mechanical/electrical systems design, construction and or maintenance or a closely related field, hold a professional qualification in Electrical Engineering (Minimum HNC), understand the MAG vision and the ability to enshrine this within your team.

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The role of an Authorising Engineer is to set, manage and assess standards for competence of Engineering safety appointed personnel, review safe systems of work for maintenance delivery for both MAG and 3rd party personnel to ensure compliance with low voltage electrical safety guidance documents, you will control and review all legislative records relating to engineering safety (Electrical), ensuring such records are effectively managed within MAG’s corporate reporting systems (Maximo).
- Provide technical support for all electrical systems across the core Engineering function at Manchester Airport.
- Continuously review and amend where appropriate Low Voltage Electrical Safety Guidance document ensuring compliance with overarching legislative standards.
- Develop and lead an LV maintenance and inspection plan for all core Engineering assets. To provide expert technical advice on asset performance, failures and maintenance requirements to other teams/stakeholders across M.A.G providing a high level of customer service to the wider business. Overseeing the authoring of Post Incident Reports (PIR’s) and Operational Disruption Bulletins (OIB’s)
