- Minimum of Level 4 Automotive Trade Qualification or equivalent (verification required)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the automotive industry (gained within the last 5 years)
- Hold and maintain a current WOF inspecting authority
- Good technical competency and diagnosis skills
- Understanding of customer service principles and practices
- Basic computer knowledge and keyboard skills
- Empathetic, diplomatic, professional and cordial
- Effective communication and planning skills
- Rational thinking and effective decision making based on information and data
- Clean Full New Zealand Drivers Licence
Responsibilities:

- Provide excellent customer service in all interactions with customers and business clients
- Deal with queries and requests regarding products or services in accordance with the Association’s policies and standards
- Assist on the retail front counter as required
- Perform service, repair, regulatory vehicle inspections on light motor vehicles
- Scheduling the daily work through the Auto CentreLEADERSHIP & PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- Provide leadership and direction to direct reports and work effectively with all key stakeholders and their teams
- Assist the Manager with formulating KPIs for staff and ensuring KPIs are understood and are being met and assisting with the performance review process for all staff
- Assist the manager with recruitment, performance management, training and development of staff
- Assist the manager with induction and appropriate training of new employees
- Deal with staff issues and concerns when they arise, identify how these may be resolved, escalate to site Manager where necessary, and follow up with outcomes
- Assist the site Manager to investigate and manage complaints and provide effective outcomes
- Promote a culture within the team and business which supports AA Mobility’s vision, goals and values
