  • Minimum of Level 4 Automotive Trade Qualification or equivalent (verification required)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the automotive industry (gained within the last 5 years)
  • Hold and maintain a current WOF inspecting authority
  • Good technical competency and diagnosis skills
  • Understanding of customer service principles and practices
  • Basic computer knowledge and keyboard skills
  • Empathetic, diplomatic, professional and cordial
  • Effective communication and planning skills
  • Rational thinking and effective decision making based on information and data
  • Clean Full New Zealand Drivers Licence

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service in all interactions with customers and business clients
  • Deal with queries and requests regarding products or services in accordance with the Association’s policies and standards
  • Assist on the retail front counter as required
  • Perform service, repair, regulatory vehicle inspections on light motor vehicles
  • Scheduling the daily work through the Auto CentreLEADERSHIP & PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
  • Provide leadership and direction to direct reports and work effectively with all key stakeholders and their teams
  • Assist the Manager with formulating KPIs for staff and ensuring KPIs are understood and are being met and assisting with the performance review process for all staff
  • Assist the manager with recruitment, performance management, training and development of staff
  • Assist the manager with induction and appropriate training of new employees
  • Deal with staff issues and concerns when they arise, identify how these may be resolved, escalate to site Manager where necessary, and follow up with outcomes
  • Assist the site Manager to investigate and manage complaints and provide effective outcomes
  • Promote a culture within the team and business which supports AA Mobility’s vision, goals and values
