JOB DESCRIPTION
- Ensures proper maintenance of low-voltage electrical equipment with adherence to safety norms and regulations.
- Diagnoses faults on equipment and ascertain cause of defects, determine repair methods and spare part requirements for efficient and permanent repairs.
- Traces circuits of defective units, using knowledge of electronic theory and electronic test equipment to locate to the defective component level.
- Reads and comprehends technical manuals, schematic diagrams, troubleshooting guides, manufactures’ specifications, warranties and parts catalogues.
- Identifies and selects correct spare parts, by visual recognition or from manuals and controls their use.
- Proactive monitoring of electronic/electrical equipment
- Resets fault codes and re-programmes transmission control units and other electronic control units.
- Performs other duties as required.
