Salary up to $28.00/hour, depending upon experience

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare project drawings, specifications, and schematics required to support installing unique application systems, such as: Clean Agent, Inert Gas, High/Low Pressure CO2, Aerosol, and associated detection and control equipment.
  • Verify project requirements and coordinate with the Project Managers and Sales to ensure project design

    is in compliance with all applicable Federal, State and local codes

  • Layout system equipment for basic to advanced designs.

  • Understand NFPA 12, NFPA 70, NFPA 72, NFPA 2001, NFPA 2010, IBC, IFC, OFC, IAC, and other applicable codes.
  • Assist Sales with estimating project designs.
  • Review existing designs for accuracy and correct design layout.
  • Interact with customers, vendors and co-workers in a professional manner
  • Open willingness to continual learning
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and follow all safety regulations and practices

  • Any other duties deemed appropriate by management
  • Performing site surveys to obtain information and evaluate protected areas, and equipment for new and existing

    system designs.

Required:

  • Proficiency using Autodesk in AutoCAD software
  • Understanding of electronics and wiring requirements (Voltage, Amperage, Voltage Drop, etc.)
  • Strong math skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong logical thinking and good analytical skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Problem-solving to be methodical, accurate, and detail-oriented in all work.
  • Good time management.
  • Not easily distracted and able to stay focused on tasks
  • Able to meet state licensing requirements and/or vendor certifications
  • Proficiency working in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Pass drug and background screenings
  • Performing site surveys. Will include occasional traveling. It willl require long-distance walking, climbing la, ladders,

    etc.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time. This includes sitting at a computer looking at a monitor for 6-8 hours daily.

    Must be able to effectively use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photoperiods

cabinets and fax machines

  • Must be able to perform repetitive motions while using a computer
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee

frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
