The Position
As an Automation Developer Junior, you will be focused, but not limited to, developing and maintaining solutions using scripting languages and robotic process automation in a customer-centric way.

As a team member: You will work in a collaborative and agile environment, surrounded by other automation & data enthusiasts at the Roche Services and Solutions (RSS), building solutions for our Roche peers and ultimately impacting our patients.
Your closest team members are mainly: automation business partners, business analysts, automation developers, product owners, and people leaders.

You will be part of the RSS Analytics and Automation - a global team with a regional presence in Switzerland, India, Costa Rica, Hungary, and Malaysia.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or technical field or equivalent experience in the area of Automation.
  • 1+ year of experience developing solutions in at least 1 of the following technologies/platforms:

  • Develop and maintain proposed solutions.

  • Adaptable to work in cross-region, cross-timezone setup between the Americas, Europe, and Asia (Must)
  • Experience in Shared Service Center environment (plus)
  • Automation Development Certification or similar (plus)

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and support solutions to automate processes through RPA, scripting, and Desktop Automation (e.g. VBS, Google AppScript, SAP Script, python, etc).
  • Contribute to the team’s annual/quarterly objectives.
  • Embrace new ways of working with fast iterations, lean documentation and planning, close alignment with our colleagues from business and IT, and close communication across global teams
  • Partner closely with Global Product Owners, developers, business analysts/partners, and platform teams to boost cross-regional collaboration and leverage existing solutions.
  • Maintain automation in production, as required.
  • Participate in requirements gathering and design through client meetings, interviews, and workshops.
  • Assess automation opportunities from a technical perspective to arrive at an optimal solution.
  • Fulfill team and enterprise requirements related to security, scalability, quality, and performance.
  • Participate in demos and retrospectives; communicate ideas for team continuous improvement and willingly receive feedback for self-improvement.

  • Adhere to team standards related to Quality and Service KPIs
