As a result of growth and increasing demand, we are now looking for an Automation Engineer to join our engineering team based in Auckland. This will involve you working on a number of diverse and exciting, automation projects.

AS AN EXPERIENCED, HANDS-ON, AUTOMATION ENGINEER YOU WILL NEED:

  • At least 5+ year experience in one or more of a variety of industries, preferably Water, Dairy, Power Generation and Distribution, Petrochemical, Marine and/or Infrastructure.
  • Significant experience in PLC, SCADA, telemetry and HMI programming, communication solutions, and integration with 3rd party software and databases.
  • Experience in project managing and commissioning automation projects.
  • To be well versed with AS/NZ3000 Wiring Rules and Regs.
  • Passionate about the latest available technology in automation and control.
  • To work in a team environment with a wide variety of engineers, technicians, and project managers.
  • Flexibility, and able to adapt quickly to different customer expectations.
  • To deliver innovative solutions to problems.
  • Take ownership of your projects
  • Excellent diagnostic skills and have well developed processes for checking the accuracy of your own work.
    You will preferably have an appropriate degree or diploma level qualification; however, consideration will be given to those with considerable practical industry experience in automation and control.
