KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Control, or a closely related field (preferred).
Minimum 3 years of proven experience in an integrator, automation equipment manufacturer, or warehouse automation project. Alternatively, 5+ years of post-service experience in automation projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
Solid understanding of automation equipment components.
In-depth experience with automation control products such as Siemens IPC, PLC, HMI, SCADA, TIA portal, various drives, and related software/hardware.

ABOUT THE AUTOMATION ENGINEER (SHIFT WORK) ROLE:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automation Engineer to join our growing Supply Chain team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our existing automation capabilities, while fostering the development of a skilled team under your guidance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead your team in performing a comprehensive range of maintenance activities on storage systems, equipment, and packaging machinery, ensuring minimal disruption to supply chain operations.
Provide expert support for complex diagnostics and repairs of sophisticated logistics and packaging equipment, collaborating with the Automation Maintenance Lead.
Actively participate in project phases by supporting the installation, modification, upgrade, and ongoing maintenance of storage systems and packaging equipment.
Champion and maintain the integrity of our industrial control systems (software and hardware) for automated equipment.
Utilize statistical methods to deeply investigate and identify root causes of equipment failures. Recommend impactful solutions such as design, tolerance, or processing method adjustments.
Offer engineering expertise to support modifications and enhancements of robotic and automation systems.
Collaborate closely with operations and automation teams to guarantee all automation equipment and processes adhere to stringent safety standards and company policies.
Supervise the preparation of detailed reports on system performance and breakdowns, ensuring transparency for management decisions.
Partner with the Automation Maintenance Lead and technicians to effectively identify and resolve process-related issues.
Work collaboratively with the team to develop essential work instructions, safety risk assessments, and continuous improvement projects.
Leverage your analytical skills to identify and address bottlenecks in process flow. Formulate preventive measures, including backup plans, in collaboration with the operations team.
Be prepared to undertake additional tasks as assigned.
