Valmet, a leader in reducing environmental impacts in board, paper and tissue production, is looking for a Automation Fluid Systems (Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Lubrication) Chief or Design Engineer for Board and Paper Machines Solutions Technology to join the team in Wroclaw.

As the Design or Chief Engineer, you will be taking care of engineering in selected mill and machine improvement and equipment delivery projects Fluid systems and equipment engineering from start to finish, working closely with other Valmet stakeholders involved in the delivery project. Role includes giving support to sales, application, R&D, procurement, and site operations while your main responsibility is executing the engineering of the project´s based on your level of experience as a Chief Engineer for Fluid systems engineering and subcontractor supervision and as Design Engineer for Fluid systems engineering to grow in future to Chief Engineer role. This is an exciting opportunity to demonstrate your expertise and showcase your engineering and technical skills while collaborating with other cultures and people globally.

Requirements:

  • Suitable Bachelor´s or a Master’s degree in Automation or Fluid systems engineering
  • We hope you have more than 3 years of experience in a similar position of automation engineering work with hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication systems and their engineering
  • Knowledge and experience of Board, Paper or Tissue mills and machines fluid systems (hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication) is considered a great advantage, as is proficiency in different engineering software´s and especially CADS or EPLAN
  • Electrification and instrumentation engineering experience and knowledge seen as strength
  • Fluency in Polish and English is required, and proficiency in a third language (French, Spanish, or German preferred) is welcome but not required
  • Determined, self-reliant, and motivated to achieve your goals, and enjoy collaborating with different cultures and people globally
  • Good teamwork and interaction skills are essential
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new things and technologies quickly
  • Personal drive for continuous improvement and eagerness to develop yourself
  • Willingness and opportunity to travel about 20-40 days a year according to the requirements of the projects in Poland, EU and also internationally
