Description:
You will provide engineering support to Methode’ s Commercial and Costing teams for new business pursuits, perform engineering design and development tasks on power product business, and support the Manufacturing team to achieve launch readiness. This includes managing multiple projects, providing the highest level of product quality, and working with off-site Methode production facilities and sales as well as collaborate with engineering teams in India, China, Europe, and Mexico.

Responsibilities:
- Support the Sales organization through technical explanation and answers regarding Methode’ s power products and technologies
- Establish and maintain communication channels with customers and proactively discuss opportunities and ideas with customers to understand their needs
- Identify applications that resolve customer issues using Methode’ s power electronics technologies
- Develop and deliver all RFQ documentation via Product Lifecycle Management to generate cost estimates
- Perform engineering tasks required to design and develop technical solutions for power products
- Assist with performance testing and analysis of proprietary and/or competitor products
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- At least two years of industry experience at an Automotive OEM or Tier 1 preferred
- Ability to perform design reviews and make presentations, including concept functional mock-ups, to drive customer adoption of Methode’ s power products and technologies
- Basic knowledge of the electrification market (HEV, PHEV, and BEV), and application in the automotive industry
- Basic knowledge of plastic injection molding and metal stamping
- Basic knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262)
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate complex designs clearly and effectively to other functional groups
- Hands-on experience with 3D CAD design tools; CREO experience a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects
- Proven ability to overcome obstacles and get results
- Ability to quickly adapt to a changing industry, and quickly learn and apply new technologies
- Ability to travel up to 10% both domestically and internationally
Additional Qualification:
- If a recent college graduate, highly preferred to have industry experience, including Internship/Co-op, at an Automotive OEM or Tier 1
