Shepparton Dealership seeking an Automotive Technician

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, or equivalent, and sufficient workplace experience to have been deemed competent in a Light Vehicle Technician’s apprenticeship
  • Current and valid Victorian drivers licence
  • Ability to drive manual transmission desirable
  • Prior experience in automotive repair and diagnostic techniques
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills;
  • Detailed oriented approach to tasks
  • Effective time and task management skills
  • Thorough awareness, and application of, safe workplace practices.
  • A highly motivated, self-starter

Responsibilities:

YOUR NEW ROLE

The primary focus of the Automotive Technician is to perform vehicle diagnosis, service and remedial work in a timely, cost-effective and accurate manner. Accuracy and efficiency in your role provides timely and thorough support for customers.

Duties:

  • Perform vehicular diagnosis / service / remedial works and administrative duties in an accurate and timely manner, while ensuring adherence to all associated compliance requirements;
  • Maintain high levels of knowledge about vehicles, products and the automotive industry.
  • Perform Quality Control checks and final sign-offs of work performed.
  • All maintenance and repair work to be performed in line with the manufacturer’s recommended times and guidelines.
  • Using the systems and information provided, and by liaising with associated stakeholders, prepare quotes for service, maintenance and mechanical / cosmetic repairs identified during vehicular works with submissions made to the Workshop Manager / Service Manager in a timely manner;
  • You are required to represent the Company and Manufacture Brands to a high standard; both while at work, at off-site training / meeting events and within the community;
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment for staff and clients;
  • Perform all work-related duties and tasks with adherence to Manufacture and Company systems, processes, policies and procedures;
