Automotive Technician / Heavy vehicle (S-C)

Roles & Responsibilities
1. Diagnosing and Repairing Electrical Issues: Identifying and troubleshooting electrical problems in EVs, including issues with batteries, charging systems, inverters, and electric motors.
2. Performing Routine Maintenance: Conducting regular inspections and maintenance tasks on electric vehicle components to ensure optimal performance and safety.
3. Battery Management: Managing and maintaining high-voltage battery systems, including monitoring battery health, balancing cells, and performing capacity tests.
4. Software and Firmware Updates: Updating and calibrating the vehicle’s control systems, ensuring they are running the latest software for optimal performance.
5. Safety Compliance: Ensuring that all electrical systems and components meet safety standards and regulations set by relevant authorities.
6. Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of repairs, maintenance tasks, and inspections performed on each vehicle.
7. Team Player
8. Customer Interaction: Providing explanations to customers about the work performed, discussing potential issues, and offering recommendations for further maintenance or repairs.
9. Safety Precautions: Adhering to safety protocols and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
10. Any other tasks assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• ITE NTC 3/2 or Nitec
• Experience in heavy vehicle repair & maintenance
• Experience in operating common workshop tools (e.g. Air Jack, Hoist, wheel balancing machine etc)
• Team Player
• Electric vehicle experience would be an added advantage
• Possess work related licences, would be an added advantage (e.g. WAH, Rigger & Signalman, Fork Lift Driving, Driving Class 4/5)
• Min 3 years relevant experience (i.e. Electrical, Mechanical or Aircon)
