Slalom is seeking an AV Events and Systems Specialist to join our global Infrastructure Technology Team for a 9 month FTC. The candidate shall have strong interpersonal and technical skills to ensure the successful daily operation of AV systems, training local team members on system usage, assisting in the setup, coordination, and successful facilitation of live events utilising integrated AV systems across all Slalom UK/Europe offices. This individual shall serve as a trusted partner between global IT and our customers.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in the audiovisual or broadcasting industry
  • Certified Technology Specialist (CTS)
  • Commercial Audio Technician (CAT)
  • Live Events Professional
  • Crestron Core

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with local operations and IT teams to set up, test, train, and oversee successful daily AV system functionality.
  • Coordinate with event schedulers to ensure timely setup and operation of audio, visual, lighting, and integrated technologies required during high-profile meetings and live events.
  • Play an active role in live event production including AV system setup, rehearsal, production design and assisting, directing, monitoring, and teardown.
  • Identify, schedule, and manage vendors for successful infrastructure setup, operation, and teardown of AV systems for live events.
  • Assume responsibility for training local Slalom users, clients, and guests on proper use and best practices with AV systems.
  • Create, manage, and update internal AV knowledge base and customer facing documentation and use guides.
  • Work with IT Support and Infrastructure Technology engineers to relay, triage, resolve, and test AV system issues and planned maintenance.
  • Assist in new product design by working with Infrastructure Technology engineers to collect user feedback on system features, availability, and functionality.
  • Travel to EMEA Slalom offices to train local employees, oversee live events, and validate system functionality. (20-30% travel expected)
