The AVP, Talent Acquisition is responsible for delivering resourcing solutions to ensure the Canadian businesses and functions have the right diverse talent in the right place and with the right skills to achieve our business priorities – now and in the future. They are also responsible for providing leadership to some of the Talent Acquisition partners responsible for the end to end recruitment process and talent programs. This role is highly collaborative, working across multiple business and stakeholders, to balance leadership, operational, strategic and transformational initiatives and priorities.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with business stakeholders and HR Business Partners to define and implement resourcing strategies to meet their current and future requirements
  • Lead and coach an inhouse team which includes, Talent Acquisition, Early Careers and Sourcing partners
  • Responsible for ensuring excellence in delivery and cost effective resourcing from our external partners, including our MSP partnership
  • Responsible for Executive recruitment, working closely with the Head of Rewards
  • Develop hiring manager capability in selection, assessment and onboarding
  • Build employer brand awareness internally and externally
  • Managing the spend and usage on agencies
  • Utilize market insight and data analysis to inform resourcing strategies and innovation agenda
  • Continuously improve and evolve the proposition, maximizing technology and market innovation
  • Embed Aviva’s values and behaviours in recruitment process
  • Identify, own and manage the specific key risks and/or key controls within your area. Maintain appropriate records and ensure that controls are sufficiently well designed and operating effectively to keep the risks that they mitigate within Aviva’s tolerance level.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ year established experience in Talent Acquisition experience
  • 5+ years leadership experience
  • Strong business acumen and commercial outlook
  • Experienced using data to provide insight and inform action
  • Experienced in effecting organization and cultural change in a variety of complex environments
