Description:
INTRODUCTION
Our client has an opportunity for an experienced Cloud Architect to take full responsibility for creation of design documentation, architectural artefacts and provide governance to support a move from on-prem to the cloud.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience designing solutions for on-prem to cloud migrations.
- Ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Experience in designing cloud-based solutions in either AWS or Azure.
- Experience in defining migration approach to safely migration services ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
- Understanding of technology, network, service, and security architecture.
- Understanding and knowledge of ITSM and ITIL.
- Knowledge and understanding of different modelling languages or frameworks (such as UML, ArchiMate or TOGAF).
- Designing and implementing COTS application solutions on both Linux and Microsoft technology platforms.
- Knowledge and experience of migrating complex interoperable applications/services.
- An understanding of Cloud architecture, solutions, and services in a multi cloud environment.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create high-level and low-level architectural designs to guide solution development from on-prem to a cloud environment.
- Create detailed plans for migrating applications, data, and infrastructure from on-premises environments to the cloud.
- Govern and coordinate migration activities, including data transfer, application re-platforming or refactoring.
- Adhere to the principles, guidelines, standards, and solution patterns to ensure solution decisions are aligned with the enterprise’s future-state architecture vision.
- Contribute to the creation of new standards and patterns.
- Work closely with the product owners and product managers to ensure a robust architectural runway that can support future business requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Work closely with the PMO to ensure the execution of plans corresponds with what is being promised throughout the project or product lifecycle.
