DWS is looking for multiple highly-skilled hands-on Azure Cloud Engineers to join our team in Melbourne, to assist our client with a major program of work. The successful applicant will provide Azure Cloud technical expertise including building, migrating, modernizing, supporting, and maintaining the Azure Cloud and Microsoft 365 environments. The role will play a critical role in
ITS infrastructure projects to deliver on strategic objectives.
Type: Max Term / or ACN Contractor
Length: 4 months initially, possible extensions

Salary: up to $175K inc super (Max Term), up to $700/day (ACN)

ESSENTIAL CORE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Hands-on experience working with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
  • Proven experience with utilizing the Azure DevOps platform
  • Proven experience with building and maintaining Azure native services and features such as IaaS, Azure Functions, Web Apps, cloud storage (blobs file shares, queues and tables), EntraID, APIM, Azure B2C, Front Door, Azure Kubernetes Services
  • Proven experience with Azure networking, network peering, gateways, and Express Route
  • Proven knowledge and experience with Azure backup and availability zones
  • Demonstrated experience with managing and migrating IT services from traditional datacenters into Azure
  • Maintaining and manage the Azure platform including but not limited to capacity management, cost management, EntraID for Identity Management, InTune
  • Microsoft Intune management and configuration
  • Microsoft 365 experience with managing and building services such as Exchange Online hybrid deployments
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable
  • Strong fundamental understanding and experience with enterprise technologies and infrastructure including networking, servers & storage, cloud platforms, and virtualisation
  • Knowledge of Windows concepts, Domains, Active Directory components, and the interaction between hardware, operating systems, networks, datacenters, and application software

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining Azure security services such as SIEM and Microsoft Defender used for workstations and on-premises servers, Azure firewall, Front Door, Exchange Online email protection, Network Security Groups, gateways, and privileged access management
  • Managing Azure patch management of on-prem servers using Azure Update Manager
  • Build/configure Microsoft Azure services and infrastructure according to best practices and utilizing tools and methodologies such as DevOps, infrastructure as code, and automation
  • Develop and execute strategy to move IT services from on-premises into Azure
  • Build/maintain API Management
  • Build/maintain Azure B2C for identity access and SSO
  • Proven experience with utilizing DevOps methodology, CI/CD YAML pipelines, Bicep, ARM, Git
