We are therefore seeking a highly skilled and passionate Azure Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Microsoft Azure, a strong focus on automation, and a robust affinity for security-related topics. This role requires extensive knowledge of PowerShell (preferred) or Python for scripting and automation tasks. Experience with Bicep for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and familiarity with hybrid setups and on-prem configurations are essential.

Your main responsibilities are

• Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell (preferred) or Python to streamline cloud operations and reduce manual intervention.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Bicep and ARM templates.
• Monitor cloud environments to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
• Identify and implement cost-saving measures and performance enhancements.
• Ensure that cloud infrastructure complies with industry standards and best practices for security and compliance.
• Implement and manage security policies and procedures, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, and data protection.
• Stay updated on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities to proactively protect the cloud environment.
• Design and manage hybrid network setups, integrating on-premises and cloud environments.
• Configure and manage on-premises infrastructure to support seamless connectivity and integration with Azure services.
• Provide support for cloud-related issues and troubleshoot complex problems.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and implement solutions.

Your profile

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cloud engineering or a similar role.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including virtual machines (AVD), networking, storage, databases, and security.
• Expertise in PowerShell scripting (preferred) or Python for automation and management tasks.
• Proficient with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Bicep. Experience with ARM templates, Terraform, or Ansible is a plus.
• Familiarity with hybrid network setups and experience configuring and managing on-premises infrastructure.
• Demonstrated passion for automation and improving efficiency through scripting and orchestration.
• Ability to design and implement automated processes to streamline operations and reduce manual workload.
• Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, or Azure DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices and frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
