JOB SUMMARY
The Azure Data Engineer will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing data solutions on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. Responsibilities will revolve around creating and maintaining data pipelines, data storage solutions, data processing, and data integration. These efforts enable data-driven decision making within the organization.
Responsibilities and Duties: Other duties may be assigned.
- Data Management and Storage:
- Work with various Azure data storage options, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake.
- Storage, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Blob Storage.
- Design scalable, performant, and cost-effective data storage systems that meet organizational requirements.
- Data Integration and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load):
- Develop and implement data integration processes using tools Azure Data Factory. Extract data from diverse sources, transform it, and load it into data warehouses or data lakes. Ensure efficient data cleaning, conversion, and loading.
- Big Data and Analytics:
- Utilize big data technologies such as Azure Databricks and Apache Spark.
- Create data processing workflows and pipelines to handle and analyze large volumes of data. Support data analytics, machine learning, and other data-driven applications.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to identify and meet data requirements. Understand the data landscape, explore data, and provide insights to stakeholder.
- Security and Compliance:
- Build and maintain secure and compliant data processing pipelines. Ensure data privacy, integrity, and confidentiality.
JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field of education.
- Data Engineering: Proficiency in designing and implementing data solutions.
- Azure Services: Familiarity with various Azure services related to data storage, integration, and analytics.
- ETL Processes: Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Big Data Technologies: Knowledge of big data frameworks and tools.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset to address complex data challenges.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and manage time efficiently.
- Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and information security.
