Description:

Assessing CO2 Emissions and ESG Regulation of the supply chain of DAF Trucks for purchased metal components We are looking for an intern to assess CO2 Emissions and ESG Regulation of the supply chain of DAF Trucks for purchased metal components.

Your main tasks are :

  • Benchmark competitors and suppliers for CO2 policies in the Truck/Passcar industry;
  • Propose tailored CO2 reduction targets for DAF Trucks’ metal component supply chain;
  • Map energy usage and CO2 emissions in DAF Trucks’ metal component supply chain;
  • Compare supplier performance in energy usage, costs, and investments for efficiency and CO2 reduction;
  • Propose initiatives to lower CO2 emissions by investigating production location, energy types, and investments.
  • A view behind the scenes at a large international corporation;You will get a lot of freedom and responsibility;
  • We are open to your initiatives and depending on the assignment you see your results back in the workplace;
  • An experienced coach and supervisor who can teach you a lot and is willing to help you with your assignment;
  • After your graduation, you will have the opportunity to start your career at DAF;
  • An internship wage of € 375,- (Bachelor) and € 450,- (Master) per month on full-time base;
  • A travel allowance, if you don’t have a student travel product (provided by the Dutch government);
  • A housing allowance, if you temporarily rent a room near DAF.

Each intern will have the opportunity to participate at the Student Event. During this event you will meet other interns and find out more about DAF/PACCAR!

The Purchasing Group 3 consists of 18 colleagues including management that are responsible of the sourcing of metal components for engine plants, cabin plants, axle plants and the sourcing of raw materials required for in-house processing. We are looking for:

  • An Industrial, Supply Chain or Mechanical Engineering student looking for an opportunity to work in an automotive industry sustainability project;
  • Contribute to real-world CO2 reduction strategies in the supply chain;
  • Great in analyzing data, propose initiatives, and willing to collaborate with the best professionals in the industry;
  • Open to gain experience in sustainability, data analysis, and project management;
  • Combine engineering skills with environmental impact.
