Back End Engineer - Golang

We are looking for a Back End Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Golang, and other web development technologies. (if you a Nodejs developer with basic Golang experience you are also welcome to apply)

The company is seeking a Back End Engineer - Golang with relevant experience to join the development team in Sydney.

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

• BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
• Experience working with at least one modern Back End Development using Golang
• Experience building REST APIs with Golang and/or NodeJS
• Experience developing microservice infrastructure is ideal
• Experience working with two or more from the following: web application development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, developing large software systems, and/or security software development
• Previous ‘start-up’ or ‘scale-up’ experience is favourable

• Take operational responsibility for the services and code base that you will develop
• You are• Between 3 and 5 years’ experience in software developing
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and backend coding best practices
• Familiar with Docker, Postman, GitLab, AWS is favourable.
• You are a lifelong learner. You’re self-taught and continuously learning.
• You are interested in keeping up with current best practices in your areas of expertise
• You are experienced working with modern infrastructure and tools
• You are comfortable running your software in Linux environments
• You know and care about sound engineering practices like continuous delivery, defensive programming and automated testing
• You’re familiar with designing and building distributed and scalable systems
