Backend Developer - Java/Kotlin, HTML

Oliver James have partnered with a leading payments client seeking a skilled Backend Developer with expertise in Java, Kotlin, and HTML to join their IT department on a contract basis. The aim of the role is to support the client’s work in the backend and efforts in translating the backend. This will be an initial 6-month contract engagement - with extension very likely.

KEY SKILLS:

• Strong proficiency in Java/Kotlin programming languages.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, or JavaScript for web development.
• Knowledge of backend frameworks and libraries.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  Rate: €350 - €375 (DOE).
  Other: Candidates must be based in Ireland and hold a Stamp 1G/ Stamp 4/ EU passport to be considered for this position.

This role is based in Dublin, offering flexible hybrid/remote working options (1 day maximum per week on-site). Candidates must have enterprise experience with the following:

• Optimising application performance and scalability.
• Participating in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure quality code.
