Backend Engineer for Integrations

As a backend developer specialising in integration services, you’ll play a pivotal role in bridging our robust backend infrastructure with a diverse ecosystem of clients. These range from cutting-edge HiFi audio systems to interactive websites and apps, all of which rely on our API to access and play the extensive catalogue of music we offer.
Your tasks include the following:

API Design and Development: Design and implement dedicated API endpoints that facilitate seamless communication between our backend systems and various client applications and devices.

• Performance Optimisation: Fine-tune API endpoints and backend services to ensure optimal performance, even under high loads, guaranteeing a smooth music playback experience across all client platforms.
• Innovative Problem Solving: Tackle complex technical challenges with creativity and efficiency, contributing to the evolution and enhancement of our backend systems.
• Communication: Talk to partners and prospects about collaborations and prioritise the tasks individually.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Backend Development: 3+ years of professional experience, with a focus on API development and integration with external services.
• Programming languages: 3+ years of strong proficiency in programming languages, ideally Golang.
• Cloud Deployment: knowledge of deploying within the AWS ecosystem and experience with Heroku.
• CI/CD: experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices.
• Testing Expertise: strong background in unit testing and integration testing.
• Version Control: proficiency in using git version control systems and working in collaborative environments.
• Communication Skills: excellent English communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Additional skills:

• Scripting languages: experience with Python and Ruby programming languages are definitely a plus.
• Non-relational databases: experience with Redis
