PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The primary objective of this project is to migrate existing .NET Framework-based application to .NET 8.0. The migration aims to ensure that the application continues to meet clients business goals with improved maintainability and long-term support.
The project will focus on preserving the existing functionality. We are looking for people with quick or immediate availability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Part of bigger team (PM, 4-6 Dev, 1-2 QA)
• Collaborate with clients technical team to ensure a seamless migration process
• Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation plans
• Ensure continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices are followed
• Provide regular updates and progress reports to stakeholders.

List of current technologies/frameworks/components used in app that understanding might play a key role in projects:

• .NET Framework: The core technology used for the existing application.
• ASP.NET Web Forms: Used for building the web application’s front-end (might be out of the scope)
• WCF (Windows Communication Foundation): For building service-oriented applications
• Entity Framework: For data access and ORM (Object-Relational Mapping)
• ADO.NET: For data access using SQL
• MSSQL Server: The primary database system
• DevExpress/Telerik: For UI components and reporting (might be out of the scope
