Bakery Manager

at  New World Warkworth

Do you think you could take our bakery to the next level?
We are looking for a full-time ‘hands on’ Bakery Manager for our Bakery team here at New World Warkworth. If you have the right experience & attitude but are not a qualified baker, this could still be an opportunity for you.
40-45 hours per week. Days to be discussed.

The successful applicant will:

• Have scratch bread baking experience
• Be able to make cakes, muffins and pastries etc
• Have an eye for quality and a flair for display
• Be able to plan and implement production plans and promotions
• Be flexible with working hours / days – must love early starts!
• Have Computer Skills (experience in SAP / excel) - preferred, however full training will be provided.
• Be a good communicator

Your responsibilities will include:

• Hands on managing bakery operations
• Liaising with suppliers
• Stock control
• Assisting in ensuring sales and GP targets are met
• Monitoring sales
• Controlling departmental costs and managing credits
• Responsibilities for promotions and pricing programs
• Merchandising
• Rostering and staffing

Our chosen applicant will be physically fit and healthy, computer literate and have retail bakery experience.
Remuneration will be in line with experience and ability
