Description:

Cassio (Gastro) ward is an acute medical ward which comprises of 20 beds (three, six bedded bays and two side rooms) for the management of the following speciality: Gastroenterology.
We are therefore looking for someone with a broad range of experience, a flexible approach to working and the ability to work in a busy environment.
We are recruiting a Ward Clerk, Band 2, working as part time for 15 hours per week.

The ward needs someone with good organizational skill, good communication skills with staff and patients and the ability to work within a fast-paced Multiprofessional team.

Record accurately all admissions, transfers and discharges on the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system in a timely fashion, as to ensure patient flow and safety.
You will be required to use EPR to input, retrieve and update patient records daily.
To deal with telephone enquiries and report any complaints/concerns/compliments to the Supervisors and Ward Manager.
Be responsible for creating, updating and maintaining patients notes within the ward.
To arrange outpatient follow up appointments by sending inpatient discharge summaries to the relevant department for patients by using EPR, email and or post.
