Band 4- ED Performance Co-ordinator- Accident and Emergency

Collaborating closely with the Consultant and Nurse in charge, the postholder will play a pivotal role in monitoring the department through key computer systems, specifically Cerner and Capman. A primary responsibility involves diligently tracking patient plans, ensuring their timely completion, and facilitating compliance with the 4-hour emergency care standard, and validating any patient breaches. In addition to these core duties, the role encompasses coordinating efforts with assessment units and specialty teams to optimise patient flow. Effective communication will be essential in liaising with hospital operational managers to guarantee appropriate patient admissions to specific wards.
The post holder will also be responsible for monitoring the attendances of specialty teams in the Emergency Department, contributing to the overall efficiency of patient care
