Description:

Please note, we are currently operating a hybrid working approach incorporating remote working and working face-to-face, from the community and our bases in Bath and Paulton. Applicants will be expected to travel within the BANES area as required.
The BANES Talking Therapies Service is a community based primary care psychology service working with our GP partners to provide low and high intensity therapy. Our PWPs and High Intensity (HI) therapists offer appointments to service users within GP surgeries and/or from our bases in Bath and Paulton. Appointments are by telephone or video call with an increasing number of face to face appointments being offered. Our integrated working supports close clinical contacts and a team based working environment with other health professionals.
We are a friendly and supportive team with a strong focus on staff wellbeing.
We are looking for qualified PWPs who wish to continue developing their existing skills and progress with us to provide an outstanding specialist healthcare service treating common mental health problems to our service users.
Our focus is on high quality assessment and treatments which are carefully planned to offer a structured clinical day. Clinical skills supervision, case management and line management are offered in line with Talking Therapies guidelines with extra telephone duty support available as needed.
We are AWP (Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust): a diverse organisation with over 5,000 dedicated staff providing inpatient and community-based mental health care.
We provide services from a range of locations to approximately 1.8 million people living in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES), Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon, across the county of Wiltshire and in parts of Dorset.
Our outstanding people promote mental health and wellbeing. The expertise and resources within AWP are dedicated to a person-centred approach for those who use our services and for all employees. We recognise that happy and fulfilled employees give better care.
At AWP we actively encourage applicants from all backgrounds; we are particularly keen to encourage applications from people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, those with disabilities and from the LGBTQ+ community. We want people to bring their unique blend of experiences, backgrounds, perspectives and knowledge to AWP, as diversity makes us stronger.
