Description:
PACT are expanding countywide & seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to support their mission to enhance services & improve experience for people with personality difficulties.
An ideal role for an existing band 6, or band 5 wishing to develop to a band 6 Occupational Therapist role.
You will have a keen interest in working with those with a diagnosis of ‘personality disorder’ & wish to develop skills, knowledge & responsibilities. You will provide specific occupational therapy interventions, which also incorporate & contribute to aspects of psychological models & intervention.
For a band 5-6 development element; the appointee will commence on a Band 5 with support from a Senior OT & competency framework to develop specialist skills required to become a Band 6. Progress will require demonstrable evidence of key competencies, with the goal being compliance with development domains & functioning as a band 6 within 12- 24 months.

You’ll be a part of transforming delivery of mental health services & make a difference to people’s lives within a highly supportive MDT. This is a unique role where you will be given time, training and high levels of clinical supervision & reflective practice to deliver occupationally focused interventions to a small caseload.
The post holder will be responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of Occupational Therapy care plans and activities to support therapy plans to a small caseload of clients.
Triaging, assessing and intervening/contributing to the effective provision of Mental Health Services to an identified caseload of service users. Contributing significantly to safety planning.
The post holder will provide professional advice and support to other agencies and members of the multi-disciplinary team.
Empower others to challenge the stigma around personality difficulties and ensure equal access to services that focus on empowering the individual to feel in control of their treatment and inspired to live a meaningful life.
The post holder will contribute to the delivery of specialist psychological therapies which form a part of the personality difficulties pathway. The successful candidate will be expected to undergo necessary training and to participate in SCM, design of service-user information materials, routine clinical audit and training at an introductory level.
