Description:

BANES Primary Care Liaison Service is looking to recruit an experienced B6 RMN, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist to join our team on a full-time substantive basis. We would consider part time or a job share for the right candidate(s).
You will be joining a multi-disciplinary service, which includes a group of experienced and capable clinicians. The team has a diverse set of skills and experience, including CPN’s, Psychiatrists, psychologists and administrative staff.
The diverse professional nature of our team makes this a rich and stimulating environment in which to work. We have also expanded and now have Clinical Associate Psychologists who work alongside the team in delivering brief interventions.
What does PCLS do? PCLS is primarily an assessment and signposting service, though we do offer some brief intervention and follow up work dependent on the needs of the service user.
PCLS has a duty and an assessment function and the roles are varied and dynamic. The triage and assessments are conducted over the phone, virtually, and face to face. The ideal person for this post will be compassionate, dedicated, ethical and enthusiastic about improving people’s lives – both for our patients and our staff. You would be able to have a personalised induction to our team dependent on your needs.
Within this post you will have opportunities to develop your clinical skills. Many of our team have specialist skills and interests; CPD time and opportunities to develop are available for all staff. Supervision is highly valued in the team, we offer daily clinical supervision and we also provide valuable 1:1 supervision at least once a month. We also highly value the wellbeing of our staff and support this as a team, often scheduling wellbeing activities and dedicate time to support the wellbeing of our peers.
We are AWP (Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust): a diverse organisation with over 5,000 dedicated staff providing inpatient and community-based mental health care.
We provide services from a range of locations to approximately 1.8 million people living in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES), Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon, across the county of Wiltshire and in parts of Dorset.
Our outstanding people promote mental health and wellbeing. The expertise and resources within AWP are dedicated to a person-centred approach for those who use our services and for all employees. We recognise that happy and fulfilled employees give better care.
At AWP we actively encourage applicants from all backgrounds; we are particularly keen to encourage applications from people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, those with disabilities and from the LGBTQ+ community. We want people to bring their unique blend of experiences, backgrounds, perspectives and knowledge to AWP, as diversity makes us stronger.
