Band 7- Lead Clinical Pharmacy Technician

We provide opportunities for education and training and support continuing professional education. To be aware of the confidential nature of the work of the department and respect the need for confidentiality. To comply with Pharmacy and other Trust policies. To undertake Trust mandatory training as advised by Deputy Chief Pharmacist.
To report any drug errors detected to your line manager and ensure that the appropriate Datix incident report form is completed. To follow COSHH regulations including those for the safe handling of cytotoxic products. To maintain the security of the pharmacy department and ensure the safe custody of all pharmacy keys in your possession both on and off sites. To participate in late duty, weekend, Bank Holiday and other departmental rotas.
To participate in other aspects of delivery of the pharmacy service if required to do so. To undertake any other reasonable duties within the framework of the post as directed by the Deputy Chief Pharmacist or the Chief Pharmacist. In some cases this job description may be modified to concentrate experience in one or more of those areas covered. All employees are individually responsible for the prevention and control of infection within their own area.
The employee must attend Infection Control Induction training and mandatory Infection control training. The employee must follow all, Trust policies, procedures and guidelines relating to Infection Control
