Description:

Sequoia is a brand new service that is co-produced with people with lived experience and co-delivered with our partner agency Rethink. Sequoia provides primary care level interventions for people with Complex Emotional Needs and Personality Difficulties.
The service covers the whole of Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. Interventions are delivered both online and in person. More information on the service is contained in the service summary attached.
We are looking for an experienced mental health professional and welcome applications from any of the registered professions. We value diversity and lived experience. Our service will represent the people that we serve.
We value people who are compassionate toward people with Complex Emotional Needs and Personality Difficulties. You must have an interest in MBT, as well as experience delivering interventions both in group and individually. We are looking for people who are forward thinking and want to do things differently. Qualifications in MBT are desirable but we will consider people with the right skills and experience. We have the funding for MBT training and can train the right person, so if you haven’t already completed the MBT training we will work towards you getting practitioner status. We will link you with existing trust MBT services to gain experience of the wider MBT programme.
You will work in a hybrid way between home and locations within our communities, across BNSSG.
We offer good quality supervision both individual and group.
If you haven’t already completed the MBT training we will work towards you getting practitioner status.
We will link you with existing trust MBT services to gain experience of the wider MBT programme.
The band 7 MBT Practitioner will primarily be overseeing MBT informed interventions in a group setting. This post has a focus on MBT but will also support other parts of the service. The groups Sequoia provide will be both online and in person, depending on the needs of the population.
You will oversee the triage referrals, support conversations (assessments) and post-group reviews. You will keep an overview of the MBT offer and alongside the clinical lead you will use a test and learn approach to improve it. You will be involved with the data collection from the group.
