Description:

Two exciting opportunities have arisen for Highly Specialist Mental Health Clinicians in the Children in Care Specialist CAMHS Service in AWP, based in South Gloucestershire (Thinking Aloud) and Bristol (Thinking Allowed); two well established services with a reputation for working with children and young people who have experienced multiple adversities. The service comprises small supportive, energetic and creative teams and post-holders will provide clinically effective interventions for the adult network and young people. These posts will work closely with the Clinical Lead for Children in Care in AWP and the AWP Specialist Services Manager and work alongside AWP’s core CAMHS Services and also in partnership with Social Care and Education.
The post holders are senior clinicians for the Children in Care CAMHS specialist services within Bristol and South Gloucestershire and are expected to be a significant clinical resource across the Trust.
Both posts are for 3 days a week. If you are passionate about supporting young people with experiences of developmental trauma and believe in the difference that can be made by supporting a multi-disciplinary system to understand and recognise the impact of trauma, we would love to hear from you.
To provide a highly specialist clinical assessment, treatment and consultation service for Children in Care in Bristol and South Gloucestershire and adopted in Bristol and South Gloucestershire, and to work with the wider care systems which impact on the welfare of the child.
To engage in Bristol and South Gloucestershire-wide clinical networking.
Join with AWP Children in Care Clinical Lead and AWP Specialist Services Manager to promote clinical governance, service improvement and effective team functioning.
To attend Service and Team Meetings, CAMHS and Trust Wide as appropriate.
To contribute to relevant CAMHS, Trust and Cross-agency working groups.
To assist management in staff recruitment, retention and provide staff supervision and line management.
To participate in clinical supervision to conform with clinical risk management requirements and professional registration.
To participate in audit activity and, when requested lead audit activity within the multi-disciplinary team.
To participate in the annual appraisal process.
To be responsible for own workload, and engage with professional practice supervision and caseload review through the management process.
To attend meetings with Legal Services and Court representatives as appropriate.
