What will you do in this job?:

  • Continue to drive exceptional guest and team experiences
  • Assisting and investing in hiring talent, training, coaching, development and retention of team members
  • Lead the day-to-day floor operations focused on consistently delivering exceptional guest service standards and increasing sales
  • Create a culture of empowerment, teamwork, continuous improvement and a passion for providing exceptional service
  • Anticipate challenges with a collaborative solutions driven strategy that will enhance the performance of the Gondola food and beverage operations
  • Preparation of monthly forecasting and reports and assist in the development, implementation and monitoring the budget to maximize revenues
  • Participate in the budgeting process – develop, implement and manage the budget, forecast, inventory and operating cost for the various outlets to maximize revenue and manage expenses
  • “Safety First”. Team and guest safety is our first priority to maintain our reputation as an industry leader
  • Ability to manage all F&B and day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines
  • While reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, establish strong partnerships with the Gondola leadership team and all Pursuit Collection leaders
  • Collect, communicate and lead the efforts to know and understand our guests, guest trends, innovation, and product development
  • Be with the team and guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels; follow up and communicate feedback from guests and team to improve overall experience
  • Assist with planning, innovation and execution of functions and events
  • Creatively assist in development and implementation of F&B promotions for Sky Bistro, Northern Lights and Castle Mountain Coffee Company

What skills and experience do you need for this job?:

  • 5+ years of experience in elevated hospitality and travel industries experiences
  • Proven high end food and beverage leadership experience
  • Wine knowledge and high volume dining management experience
  • Thrives in a fast paced and high energy work environment
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS, Micros, Opentable)
  • Experience with best in class operating systems, training, staff development and the operational management of large and complex operations
  • Expertise in building relationships and working on teams across all levels of an organization, particularly with operating teams, line supervisors, seasonal staff from a broad range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds
  • Able to create “followership” through modelling our core values and best practices
  • Experience with financial management and creating strong employee and guest satisfaction
  • Ideal candidate would have strong experience across a broad range of food and beverage activities, meetings/events and functions
