Job Description
The Role
Working as part of the support services team to provide a high standard of catering service throughout the Hospital. A strong communicator with exceptional standards for customer service. Adhering to all of Ramsay’s policies and procedures to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. A strong advocate of the Ramsay Way and People Caring for People.
The catering department operates from 7am – 8pm, 7 days a week & shifts could vary anywhere in these hours, flexibility & being available at short notice would be an advantage. Any weekend work is at an enhanced rate.
As a Catering Assistant you will be responsible for the service of all food and drink to the patients on the ward including managing dietary requirements.
Additional tasks will consist of washing up & light kitchen duties, replenishing our hot drinks machines and explaining the daily menus across all meals.
You will be part of a team of Catering Assistants who are fundamental in ensuring that all work is carried out in a hygienic and methodical manner and that standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital are in line with our policies.

What you’ll bring with you:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
  • Demonstrated excellent Customer Service skills
  • Basic Computer Skills to undertake E-Learning modules
  • Previous Catering experience in a Healthcare environment
