Bank General Practitioner - Ward 21b/27

The Wards have 5 hours of GP cover per day which enables regular review of patients, assessment of new patients, and escalation of any patients who become unwell and may need to be repatriated back to core wards. The GPs are supported by a team of Junior Medical Staff and Advanced Clinical Practitioners, alongside the Ward Manager. An MDT comprising Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Pharmacy staff support the Nursing Team. The Team have a Divisional Matron and Head of Nursing / Healthcare Professions who provide professional leadership and monitor the wards patient safety and quality agenda.
The Division have a small team of GPs who are required to work collaboratively to cover the 2 core bed bases of Ward 27 and 21b. Going forward the GPs will be supported within the Division by the Associate Medical Director from a leadership and governance perspective. Applicants must have full registration with the GMC including a License to Practice and on the GP register
