Woodlands Day Nursery is a work place nursery based at Frimley Park Hospital provides high quality care and education to children age between 3 months and 5 years. We are open Monday to Friday between 06:45am and 18.30pm for 51 weeks of the year.
Our children and families are supported by a experienced Early Years Practitioners and Nursery Assistants and we deliver excellence in our practices within the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust provides NHS hospital services for around 900,000 people across Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey and south Buckinghamshire.
As well as delivering excellent general hospital services to local people, we provide specialist heart attack, vascular, stroke, spinal, cystic fibrosis and plastic surgery services across a much wider area.

We are also proud to host the Defence Medical Group South East at Frimley Park with military surgical, medical, and nursing personnel working alongside the hospital’s NHS staff providing care to patients in all specialties.
Under the direction of the Nursery Manager to assist in the smooth running of the Nursery in accordance with all appropriate Ofsted, Nursery and Hospital policies and procedures. To observe and assess children and report any relevant information to the Nursery Manager.
To provide a stimulating, caring, learning environment in which children of all ages may develop to their full potential in line with the Early Year Foundation Stage and which is sensitive to the cultural makeup of the group and children. This includes participation in team discussions for overall planning within the Nursery.
To maintain high standard of childcare practice, working with parents and the children to enhance the social, emotional, intellectual and physical development of each child, regardless of race, gender, socio-economics, disability or language.
To wash, fee and change young children with the appropriate skills required to meet the child’s emotional and social development.
To maintain high standards of hygiene in the Nursery environment. To participate in serving with lunchtime meals and to prepare snacks, where required following Food Hygiene Guidelines.
To be alert to the safety needs of the children and the procedure to follow in the case of an emergency. To complete the necessary incident forms correctly, returning them to the Manager and to inform the Nursery Manager of any equipment or furniture that is unsafe. To supervise the children under you care in an active role
