Bank Pharmacist - The Cherwell Hospital – Bank Hours
The Role
We are looking for a Pharmacist to join our team who are committed to delivering the highest quality clinical outcomes, where you will be valued for your skills and expertise. You will be responsible for the delivery of the highest standards of care & services.
Enthusiasm and flexibility are essential. As a key member of the department, you will organise the provisions of the pharmacy services including ordering, stock control and preparation of drugs and medicines. This will include providing advice to patients and clinical staff on pharmaceutical products
You will ensure that Inpatient Prescription Record Charts are checked regularly to ensure treatment is appropriate, both clinical and financially, that the patient has sufficient supplies and carrying out medicines reconciliation as needed (daily requirement).
Providing advice to patients/carers and clinical staff on pharmaceutical products.
Ensuring that the agreed standards of patient care and confidentiality are maintained in accordance with Ramsay policies.

The Cherwell Hospital, located in Banbury, Oxfordshire was purpose built in 2006 and has been designed to combine an exceptional standard of patient accommodation with the technical equipment and facilities that modern medicine demands.

What you will bring with you

  • Qualified with a MPharm, BPharm or BSc (Pharm), or equivalent EEC qualification Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • At least 4 GCSEs (A-C), including English maths and science or equivalent qualifications
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
  • Demonstrated Customer Service skills
  • Demonstrated Computer skills
  • Clinical screening and clinical service to wards
  • Checking, dispensing and stock control
  • Procurement, audit, patient counselling and other associated pharmaceutical duties.
  • Providing advice to patients/carers and clinical staff on pharmaceutical products.
  • Adhering to GPhC Standards of conduct, ethics and performance
  • Ensuring accurate and legal dispensing and issue of prescriptions for inpatients and outpatients as specified in Ramsay Health Care Policies and Procedures
