Santander Corporate & Investment Banking is looking for an Associate Banker within the Banking & Corporate Finance team, based in Frankfurt .

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCE
- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience (gained preferably in activities related to corporate & investment banking)
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree required (preferably Master’s degree); strong academic track record (preferably in business administration, finance, accounting and / or economics)
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Highly proficient in spoken and written German and fluent in English. Nordic languages are optional.
- Financial modelling skills and understanding of company valuations.
- Relevant M&A Project execution experience.
- Ability to manage relationships both internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
As an Associate Banker, your mission will be to support Santander’s dynamic Banking & Corporate Finance team, by acting as consistent point of contact for our corporate and financial investor clients.
You will be working in Santander Frankfurt´s growing M&A and coverage team, where your day-to-day work will vary based on our client´s needs. You can expect to partner with the M&A team to develop strategies for clients, build detailed financial models and company valuations, conduct data analyses and prepare presentation material.
We need someone like you to help us in different aspects:
- Relationship management as one of the global key points of contact for Santander’s DACH and Nordic-based clients.
- Actively reach out and provide complete service support to clients, including solving complex client inquiries across all products and geographies of Santander.
- Participating in the preparation and execution of transactions for the Banking & Corporate Finance team with a focus on M&A.
- Working with different Senior Bankers in creating new business (especially M&A) opportunities.
- Performing financial and strategic business analysis on sectors, competitors and customers.
- Redacting and delivering client presentations and supporting other coverage or product related initiatives.
- Preparing client business plans, monitoring performance in terms of client profitability and absolute revenue targets (involved in all internal and external aspects of transactions, e.g. client pitches, credit documentation, risk & business committees)
