Description:

OVERALL FUNCTIONS

This person is part of a team that is responsible for the expert internal support of banking software systems & will be responsible for assisting with help desk coverage, implementing patches, performing minor upgrades, developing test & contingency plans, and working on projects that support departmental efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS

This person should have a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent plus 3 years of related experience. The candidate should have knowledge of banking operations, transaction flows, & practice implementing process improvement solutions. Above average problem solving skills and the ability to complete multiple tasks while meeting deadlines are essential. This person should possess good communication and analytical skills as well as an aptitude for detail

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with monitoring, triaging & completing change control requests and support questions regarding banking software systems for both incoming ticket requests as well as phone calls for the department.
  2. Work with the department to identify trending issues. Recommend & implement solutions to permanently resolve. Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operational efficiency, productivity and accuracy in order to decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively to provide an excellent customer experience.
  3. Work on projects as directed by the department manager/supervisor that support effective system utilization and operational efficiency. Identify and evaluate options for improvements and benefits that could be obtained from changes to or automation of existing or manual processes within the System Support department. Work with department members to select & implement the best options utilizing various software systems.
  4. Document and track system changes in accordance to the change control policy.
  5. Assist Banking Systems Administrators with system upgrades, testing and documentation.
  6. Maintain department established service level goals.
  7. Assist Banking Systems Technicians with monitoring & take appropriate action on e-mails received in the department inbox.
  8. Work with vendors to develop system patches. Obtain proper approval, schedule, deploy & test patches.
  9. Assist department with regular access reviews for departmentally managed systems.
  10. Assist department with gathering requested system documentation for audits & exams.
  11. Complete a minimum of 10 hours per quarter of job/industry related training.
  12. Participate in department on-call rotation.
  13. Assist with a variety of administrative and operational tasks as directed by department supervisor/manager that support operational efficiency.
  14. Act in accordance with FFC Policies and Procedures as set forth in the employee handbook.
  15. Adhere to compliance procedures and participate in required compliance training.
