Description:
We are looking for an experienced Bar and Hospitality Manager to work on a large event running for 3-months this summer.
WHO YOU ARE:
We are looking for someone who has experience within the events sector who is confident managing more than one bar within one larger site as well as a team of staff. You will be personable, reliable and organised as well as goal driven. You will have excellent customer service experience and ability to work effectively in a team. It is a busy and dynamic environment!
What you’ll do:
- Lead the seasonal bar team including organising rotas and shift patterns
- Training for new staff
- Managing the season budget, meeting sales and income targets
- Managing the inventory to ensure adequate stock and working with external partners
- Taking orders and payments
- Creating a welcoming environment for guests ensuring high quality customer service, including handling customer queries and complaints
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- Bar/Events Management, possibly in a creative or theatre environment
- Leadership skills and able to manage staff
- Excellent customer service
- Business and accounting skills
- Ability to remain calm when working under pressure
- Great problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent verbal communication
- IT proficiency
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
- First Aid and Fire Marshal Training
- Knowledge of the performing arts industry
The salary would be £30,000 pro rata for the six-month contract.
