QUALIFICATIONS

  • Specialty coffee experience required.
  • Good organizational skills, problem solving ability, and intuitive resourcefulness.
  • Strong initiative and self-management skills, willing to take direction.
  • Open availability, nights and weekends required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, ~8 hours each workday.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more and perform repetitive, range-of-motion activities.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • The barista, as an essential member of the café team, is responsible for fostering a culture of excellence. They are expected to demonstrate and uphold Ascension Coffee’s standards during all shifts through sharing their knowledge and experience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO



    • Expertly crafting specialty coffee, tea, and liquor beverages.

    • Ensures all beverages served meet Ascension standards.
    • Hospitality – demonstrates and upholds the highest level of guest service.
    • Maintenance – has working knowledge of all coffee related equipment. Active troubleshooting of basic equipment issues
    • Seek to continually expand knowledge in specialty coffee, tea, alcohol program and hospitality.
    • Coachable – able to receive and implement feedback quickly.
    • Approachable – able to forge strong interpersonal connections with folks of all skill levels.
    • Culture – Participate in an inclusive and quality focused culture, utilizing thoughtful communication as guidepost for fellow team members, customers, and consumers.
