Caterpillar’s Global Construction and Infrastructure (GCI) division is looking for a talented Battery Electric Machine Sales Representative for Construction Industries (CI) sustainability solutions including Battery Electric Machines (BEM) and services with responsibility for America North.
In this role, you will lead and manage dealers’ relationships to market company CI sustainability solutions including Battery Electric Machines (BEM) and services and assist in the development of dealer sales capability. This is a new role, designed for an experienced individual contributor willing to make an impact in a growth area for the company. As this is a growing area of focus, the assignment will be challenging and require strong teamwork, collaboration, and a growth mindset.
WHAT YOU HAVE (SKILLS & EXPERIENCE)
- Experienced in roles with sales objectives, where relationship building skills are fully developed
- Working knowledge of the industry trends and regulatory environment
- Ability to engage and negotiate with others to achieve win-win solutions
- Effective verbal and written communications skills combined with strong customer application & service mindset
- Ease at establishing and managing relationships with various internal and dealer/customer audience
- Value selling skills – the ability to translate offerings and solutions into dollarized customer benefits
- Ability to accurately analyze situations, prioritize issues and organize data for effective decision making
Responsibilities:
- Act as the Single Point of Contact / conduit to Enterprise partners and CI strategy
- Represent GCI in the commercial workstream of the dealer readiness process for BEM incl. workshops
- Drive Alignment with dealers to generate and manage a growth plan
- Accountable for developing and maintaining strong relationships with dealers and supporting successful deliveries to achieve high degrees of customer satisfaction
- Provide Voice of Customer and Voice of Dealer to support future new product introduction by remaining current on customer/dealer market and competitive offerings
- Provide strategic recommendations to project team lead on the future go-to-market (GTM) and sales execution model of BEM and services in assigned territories
- Partner with other business units with field-based responsibilities to achieve goals
