ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client, the first and only company in North America to receive the UL 1974, the Standard for Evaluation for Repurposing Batteries, is looking for a Battery Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. The hours of work are from 9 am to 5:00 pm and are offering 80 K to 90K depending on the experience. This is an amazing opportunity for someone with the right skills - Apply today!

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Engineering BASc. or equivalent
  • Previous experience with charge/discharge curves and lithium-ion battery systems
  • Knowledge of battery equipment, such as charge controllers, inverters, and BMS.
  • Three years of expertise using high-power electrical equipment in a testing setting

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting a TDS Project Coordinator in the verification of models and drawings for projects that are assigned.
  • Characterization of battery modules and creation of novel testing techniques
  • Testing and troubleshooting electrical systems for energy storage.
  • Creating novel hardware testing benches to evaluate battery modules.
  • Developing PLC software and electrical integration to execute test scripts.
  • Formulating and implementing test strategies for cellular or component characterization
  • Data analysis and performance benchmarking: formulating suggestions for product design
  • Assisting in the creation of novel battery characterization and modeling
  • Work on FMEA and help with test outcomes.
  • Encourage the creation of new test benches at the system, BMS HIL, and component levels.
