Description:

Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading Manufacturing / Engineering company in their search for a Battery Maintenance Technician to work in their leading facility in Aberdeen, but this position will be based in the field at one of their customers’ sites in Dartford.

For the successful Battery Maintenance Technician, our client is offering:

  • Pay rate of £11.50 per hour.
  • 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm)
  • Temporary - Permanent position
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Government workplace pension

The Role – Battery Maintenance Technician:

  • Repair of customer owned equipment on customer site
  • Carry out battery cleaning and maintenance on customer premises.
  • Report any issues or repairs to head office.
  • Safely prepare equipment for transportation
  • Build up strong relationships with members of staff and customers.
  • Assist the site with holiday & sickness cover. Covering 12 hour shift battery changing when required.
  • General housekeeping of the battery bay area
  • Act as a support function for all areas of business

What our client is looking for in a Battery Maintenance Technician:

  • Good electrical/mechanical knowledge - ESSENTIAL
  • Experience in a similar role - DESIRABLE
  • Knowledge of forklift batteries and chargers - DESIRABLE
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:
