Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the release of designs, acquire design approvals, ensure designs are manufacturable, component readiness, track piece cost, investment & mass, support future design direction, lead, and facilitate resolution of component issues, lead design changes through change management process, and support supplier quality assurance & warranty resolution.
  • Ensure the successful launch and release
  • Define, execute and supervise component design verification test plans and reporting with a mix of internal and external resources
  • Drive designs forward, including supporting DFM, cost exercises and manufacturing line review
  • Support production ramp and field problem resolution
  • Responsible for linking component level requirements with battery pack level targets and requirements accordingly
  • Coordinate the efforts of the CAE teams, and regulatory teams • As a member of the Propulsion Systems Engineering group, the Battery Pack Component Engineer will be
  • Responsible for the interfaces with the other HV battery pack components and systems
  • Translate battery pack requirements into component level requirements, including mechanical, thermal, environmental, reliability and cost requirements
  • Manage component Bill of Materials and ensure requirements flow down to design/procurement activities • Participate in internal battery system design review
