Battery Test Technician - M/F/X - Climatetech/Battery Systems – London

You’ll work with a team of experts working on groundbreaking solutions in battery technology. It’s a chance to learn and grow in an emerging market that is set to shake things up in the battery world.
Tasks

Your responsibilities will range from setting up and executing battery tests to helping us scale up the laboratory by installing and commissioning new test equipment and building new test equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring that our laboratory is organised and operates smoothly and efficiently.

  • Setup and manage battery tests in accordance to our test plans, and monitor data to ensure quality and integrity as well as identify and resolve testing issues
  • Work with test engineers to install and commission new test equipment and build custom test hardware. Ensure that equipment you are responsible for is maintained and calibrated.
  • Closely follow our testing processes in your work to ensure the quality, repeatability and consistency of test data, and ensure that documentation relating to your work is accurate and complete
  • Own safety process, documentation and training for specific areas of the laboratory and ensure these are adhered to by other users
  • Collaborate within the Test Engineering team to help manage and continuously improve laboratory organisation and operational efficiency

Requirements

  • You have a technical background in engineering or a related field, and have experience with basic electrical testing techniques and designing and installing custom cable looms.
  • You have a high level of attention to detail and a can-do and practical approach to laboratory work with a strong ability to problem solve
  • You have experience with working safely in a hazardous workshop, laboratory or industrial environment
  • Experience with battery testing and battery test equipment is a plus, but not essential
  • You want to make a positive change in the world through your work
