Battery Thermal Runaway Test Engineer (Working Student) (f/m/d)

Akkuracy is working on becoming Germany’s leader in understanding battery safety. We do not want to be the next high-throughput test lab, but rather excel at high-quality cell and small-scale testing, to maximise understanding of the cell. To achieve this, we conduct regular abuse tests, as well as specialised calorimetry tests in our purpose-built setup.
Right now, we are growing our team and are looking for you to join us! As part of Akkuracy you will work in a dynamic and friendly environment, where you support with technical tasks like designing new test rigs, upgrading existing hardware, and executing tests.
At this stage we are very flexible with regards to the exact details of this role, as we have several positions we want to fill!

Tasks

• You support with testing of batteries, including set up in the test rig, test execution, and data analysis
• You develop, prepare, and/or maintain one or several thermal runaway tests rigs
• You are part of setting up our laboratory and assist with ad-hoc tasks that come up in a young company

Requirements

• You are currently enrolled in an engineering or science degree
• You have the ability to work hands-on, ideally proven through projects, and enjoy doing so
• You have a strong interest in battery technology and willingness to learn
• You have the ability to communicate well in English, German is a plus

We are looking for amazing engineers! As a result, our application process has several stages. After your application you will receive a short technical test. If the test is successful, it will be followed by an invitation for a remote interview. If this is successful, as well, you will be invited to visit Akkuracy to get to know one another and have a final interview
