Job Description:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting to the SVP, Corporate Benefits Manager, Benefits Department and Payroll Department staff with the administration of the employee health and welfare benefit programs. In addition, assistance with the administration of the ADP’s Health & Welfare Service Engine.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Corporate Benefits Dept. staff to ensure all health benefit plans are administered correctly and efficiently, while adhering to regulatory and corporate deadlines.
  • Responds to employee benefit plan questions and assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
  • Responsible for auditing the biweekly payroll and benefit reports for accuracy and making necessary adjustments prior to transmission.
  • Assists with proofing and editing benefit guides, benefit plan booklets, and any benefits collateral.
  • Demonstrates broad knowledge of different health insurance plans, including High Deductible Health Plans and PPO Plans.
  • Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments through regular audits.
  • Assists with the preparation and submission of monthly insurance carrier remittances to Accounts Payable for payment, which may include remittances for disability benefits, life insurance, and voluntary benefits.
  • Assists with the annual audits of the Company’s retirement plans.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS-continued:

  • Assists with filing workers’ compensation claims.
  • May assist with ACA employer reporting, including auditing test file for 1095C forms, correcting errors, and answering employee and the ORBAG questions regarding the Form 1095Cs.
  • At a minimum, the ability to work from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Ability to foster, develop and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • Two (2) to three (3) years’ experience in employee benefits, human resources and/or payroll.
  • Strong analytical detail and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, employees, and vendors.
  • Must be personable, positive, and a professional representative of the Company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook, and general working knowledge of ADP’s HWSE. Workday experience preferred.
